Information for
Municipal Offices Proposal 2021
In April of 2021, the Board of Selectmen issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for office space. Such space requested was for at least 25,000 square feet meant to house all offices in the Town Hall, all offices in the Town Hall Annex, Recreation space, the Council on Aging and sorely needed meeting space. We also added in the ability to have Highway offices located there for an additional 2,000 square feet. Included in the RFP was an excerpt of a Municipal Building Needs Plan drafted by the Town Administrator.  The Town received two proposals, weighed the cost benefits of each, and formed a recommendation to present to the Town. On June 27, 2021, the Board of Selectmen voted to select the proposal offered by SM Management LLC at 262 Swansea Mall Drive. The proposal includes a fully built out office space of just under 45,000 square feet. The Special Town Meeting is scheduled for November 1, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the Joseph Case High School. Public informational forums will be held at the following times and locations:

  • October 19, 2021, 6:30 p.m., Joseph Case High School Auditorium  *Will be recorded by Cable Access
  • October 21, 2021, 11:00 a.m., Council on Aging, * Will be recoded by Cable Access
  • October 21, 2021, 6:30 p.m., Police Station Community Room
