Below is a list of current bids that are available through this office. Please note: requests for bid documents, questions, inquiries, etc. must be made to The Selectmen's Office and any department associated with the bid will not answer questions over the phone, in-person, or by email. Further, by emailing us, it will ensure you will be added to a plan holders list and will receive any addenda or announcements that may be issued.

July 29, 2022 Tennis and Basketball Court Resurfacing/Repair

Pursuant to MGL Chapter 30 Section 39M, the Town of Swansea seeks bids from qualified vendors for resurfacing and repair of four existing tennis courts and one existing basketball court at the Swansea Veterans Memorial Park, 90 Milford Road, Swansea, MA. Bids must be submitted in hand or by mail delivery to Town Administrator’s Office, 81 Main Street, Swansea, MA 02777 no later than August 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Bids must be provided in sealed envelopes clearly marked “TENNIS AND BASKETBALL COURTS REPAIR”. Interested bidders should email for full scope and bid documents which will be emailed to the party. June 22, 2022 Animal Shelter Roof Replacement UPDATE: BID DUE DATE EXTENDED August 2 at 10:30 a.m. 

In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, the Town of Swansea seeks competitive bids from qualified bidders for roof removal and replacement at the Animal Shelter, 68 Stevens Road, Swansea, MA. Interested parties are requested to submit sealed bids clearly marked “ANIMAL SHELTER ROOF REPLACEMENT” to the Town Administrator’s Office, 81 Main Street, Swansea, MA 02777, in accordance with the instructions contained within the scope of work, available by emailing whereby a complete copy of the bid documents will be sent as an email attachment. Bid bond of 5% of total contract price must be provided with bids. A 50% payment bond is due at execution of a contract.

Proposals will be accepted until Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. at which time bids will be publicly opened and read.  Site visit will take place on July 12, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded within thirty days (30) days of the award of bid. The Town of Swansea may cancel this IFB or reject in whole or in part any and all bids, if cancellation or rejection serves the best interest of the Town. The Town will award the bid to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Prevailing Wage rates apply.

May 27, 2022 Fire Department Assessment and Feasibility Study Request for Services - in Review

The Town of Swansea seeks competitive proposals from interested designers under MGL Chapter 7C Section 44 to perform a Feasibility Study for new and/or renovated or expanded fire station facilities. Proposals must include site and facility assessments of four current stations to determine current conditions, short and long term needs. Questions are due in writing by June 29, 2022 by 4:00 p.m. Town shall pay a fee not to exceed $150,000. Final fee to be negotiated between selected firm and Selection Committee. Fee shall be inclusive of all reimbursable and out of pocket costs. Deadline for proposals is July 12, 2022 at 2:30 p.m., clearly marked "Fire Department - Facilities Feasibility Study" on the exterior envelope, hand delivered or mailed to Mallory E. Aronstein, Chief Procurement Officer, 81 Main Street, Swansea, MA 02777.
