The Open Space Committee was created by a vote of the Board of Selectmen in late 2021. This Committee is responsible for coordinating and producing the Open Space Plan for Swansea. The Open Space Plan is part of the Town's Comprehensive Plan, coordinated through the Planning Board, and specifically identifies key parcels throughout our community to retain the agrarian heritage and bucolic atmosphere we love about Swansea. The Town utilizes the plan to discuss and prioritize parcels not yet owned by the Town but would be beneficial for the Town to own.  Check back for updates or visit their Agendas and Minutes page.

The Committee is now seeking public comment on the Open Space and Recreation Plan available here for public review. Comments may be sent to jhansen@swanseama.gov with "Open Space Comments" in the subject line.
